CANNES in a VAN NEEDS YOU Bonjour and welcome to CANNES in a VAN. If you've made it this far, you must be intrigued. You might be thinking 'what a great idea', or probably 'what the hell?!'. You might even be able to help us get there. So for those of you who aren't sure, here's a bit about us... Our names are Andy & Si. We came up with the idea of CANNES in a VAN one spring evening in 2006. What a great plan to take a load of films to the Cannes Film Festival and screen them from a van! 'Cool' we thought, this could actually work. Then we thought we should document it, so we decided our mate Jamie should write a blog. You can check out his ramblings by clicking the link. An on-going video blog is available too, so we can keep you up to date on how everything's going. Oh, and ONE LAST THING... please spread the word! 	THE JOURNEY The biggest film festival in the world meets the smallest film festival in the world. Two blokes, a projector and a van, take on the big guns at Cannes 2007 in a new approach to guerilla cinema. The aim - to screen the best selection of short-films from the cream of independent filmmaking to a receptive, captive audience. The plan was simple. Take tons of short films from all kinds of filmmakers to the Cannes Film Festival to screen in front of a film-loving public, straight from the Cannesinavan VAN! It's in the true spirit of guerilla cinema and our aim was to create a fuss! We did and now we're carrying on. There's a lot more to the Van than just Cannes! VAN DAMN! WE'RE HERE! From a very rainy London... through a very rainy France... with plenty of dirt food and service stations... after 25 hours on the road and a few hours sleep, the next day the boys finally relax... with more dirt food... until the London Tonight crew get there... Tamsin was loverrly... and insisted on travelling in the back!... We rocked up and did the business... and had a few beers to finish...
